Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

WING is a mentorship programme run by YouthxYouth Abeokuta Hub in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. In this notice, "we" and "us" mean YouthxYouth Abeokuta Hub acting for WING. You can reach us at abeokuta@youthxyouth.com.

2. What information we collect

• Application forms (Google Forms): your name, email, phone number, school or organisation, level or role, career goals, and for applicants under 18, a parent or guardian's contact details.
• Emails you send us, including partner enquiries and 1:1 session requests: the details you include in your message.
• Payments: for paid tiers and sessions we send you payment instructions by email. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not collect or store your card details.
• Website usage: with Google Analytics, we see anonymous information such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. We use it to improve the site.

3. Why we use your information

• To review your application and respond to you, usually within 3 working days.
• To place you in a cohort or pair you with a mentor, and to run the programme.
• To process payments and refunds, issue certificates, and keep programme records.
• To understand how the site is used and to improve it.

We rely on your consent when you submit a form, on the need to deliver the service you applied for, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the programme.

4. Who we share it with

• Mentors and student operators working on your cohort see only the details they need to run the programme, such as your name, contact details and goals.
• Service providers: Google (forms, email and analytics), our website host (Netlify) and our payment provider. They process data for us under their own terms.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
• We may disclose information where the law requires it.

5. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics, and the site will still work.

6. Young people

WING is open to people aged 16 and above. If you are under 18, we may ask for your parent or guardian's consent before you join. If you think a child under 16 has given us their details, please email us and we will delete them.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the programme, for our records and to meet legal obligations. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

8. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email abeokuta@youthxyouth.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

9. Security

We limit access to your information and use well-known services to store it. No online system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

10. Changes

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
